Pre-Birth regression refers to age regression techniques that move a client back through time to re-experience before and during their existence in the womb. It is where clients can focus on what was going on during the 9 month gestation period before they were born. It was once thought that the unborn child was just an unconscious mass of developing nerves and cells. Doctors and scientists have done a great deal of research into the life of the unborn child, and the memories of that life remain within the subconscious mind. They have found that they are accessible using such techniques as age regression.
Prior to the last few decades of the twentieth century, doctors and scientists believed that the experiences of the unborn child were negligible, that the development of the child didn’t begin until after birth. Freud, for example, referred to the first years of early development as beginning only after the child is born and no longer attached to the mother’s body. However, beginning in the 1980’s, there was a lot of research being done in Europe and the USA about the awareness of unborn children. They studied the responses and interactions between unborn children and their families, and of the mind, feelings and emotions, as well as the external environment and experiences of the mother.
Some of the results of these studies showed that the fetus has a very rich and conscious existence, they can see, hear, experience, learn and feel while in the mother's womb. They can experience whatever the mother experiences in her daily life, and they are very aware of the mother's feelings and emotions, and her choices and behaviors, and can respond to them, esp the ones that directly effect the child herself.
Today it has become quite obvious that unborn children’s experiences are rich and full and layered with responses to the choices and actions of their mothers, as well as their mother’s own experiences and feelings. How well mother feels about herself and about being a mother are also important, and how much love and support the child perceives coming from its mother.
How does this come into the work of Pre-birth regression? These events and experiences of the unborn child are recorded in the subconscious mind of the child and are accessible through regression work. Unborn children feel and record all these experiences, thoughts, and feelings of their mothers as if it were their own.
It has also been noted that by the second trimester of the pregnancy, unborn children are able to perceive and experience the external environment of their mothers. Many practitioners of womb regression have found that such memories, experiences, and traumas while in the womb can also trigger memories of traumatic experiences in previous lives. Once these memories are triggered they can become the root of many of the problems that we need to resolve in this life. This could be applied to both the actual pre-birth experiences, and past life traumas that were triggere during the pre-birth or birthing experience.
Many practioners and therapists who work with pre-birth and past life regression, like Dr. Michael Newton and Henry Bolduc, would use a pre-birth regression as the launch into a past life regression.
An unborn child can feel and experience all the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of the mother as his or her own. Understanding this would enable us to better understand how important prenatal care and support of pregnant mothers truly is, including the reality of prenatal parenting. The unborn child can easily take on the issues, fears, doubts and negative self-images that mother feels about herself.
In his book "Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy For Spiritual Regression", Dr. Newton tells us that pre-birth memory recall can provide a great deal of insight about the levels of experience and development a particular soul brings to the human form. It is a vast resource of information about the kind of spiritual journey the individual is capable of, as well as important guidance into the current life circumstances.
A pre-birth session at GateKeeper starts much as a past life regression starts, with hypnosis, with the introductionary session of questions and understand the client's fears and goals for this deep level of work. For a new client there will be a practice hypnosis session, a guided journey, that they are asked to listen to as often as possible between sessions.
A pre-birth session can be a deep and intense experience, as much as a past life session can be. It is another form of age regression, where the skills and techniques of the practitioner are used to guide the client into the subconsicous mind to access the material from the past, and bring it to the surface of the conscious mind, where it can be examined and re-experienced for the greatest and highest good of the client.
One of the deepest and most moving aspects of a pre-birth regression is when the client, who is in an deep state of altered consciousness, is guided to the very first time their Soul energy connects with the physical body of the unborn child. They explore questions like what does if feel like to touch the consciousness of this tiny infant, what kind of energy do you use to introduce yourself, how does the unborn child respond, at what point in the gestation period does this take place, as well as how does the woman feel about being a mother, how does she feel about herself and her body, and the others around her?
The pre-birth session is recorded, on Zoom, and the link will be sent to the client so they can listen and relive the words and wisdom that is shared during the session.
